My RevAbs Journal

Well Beachbody did it again! I  started RevAbs and am really enjoying it. And I decided even though I don't have much weight to really lose, to commit to the 14 day jumpstart which means no or limited sugars and starches for 14 days and little dairy.
I made it through day 1, even with our night out last night at a fancy restaurant with local Beachbody coaches. I did have 2 bites of my husband's wild rice, but other than that I had my grilled Maui-maui, green beans (wish I had remembered to have them steam them instead of saute..live and learn) and a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette on the side. And I did have 1 small slice of whole wheat/low sugar banana bread when I got home.  All in all, still a sucessful day.
Today is day 2. Do you want to join me?  I'll be posting my meals and snacks as I go. It's going to be a real challenge for me because I love bread! I love baking for my family. Luckily..they love eating too, so the aforementioned banana bread will be gone before long.

My meals for today, just as an example:

Breakfast: Blues Buster - 190 cals - In a blender, combine frozen blueberry/berry blend, 1 teaspoon of fresh oj, 1 T. nonfat yogurt, 1 scoop Greenberry Shakeology powder, 3/4 cup water or more, and ice. Blend and enjoy. This was really good! I know sometimes the greenberry Shakeology scares people, but this is a 190 calorie or less way to enjoy the Greenberry.

Snack: 10 soaked almonds (soaked in water overnight)

Lunch: Grilled tilapia (my least favorite fish..but it's cheap. It tastes kind of muddy to me. It is a farmed fish so not high on my list of fish to buy and prepare..but alas..Dave bought a huge bag of it.) over a bed of 2 cups fresh baby spinach, 1/2 cucumber, 6 cherry tomatoes, dash of lowfat dressing and 1/4 avocado.

Snack:  This is coming up. I may make a chocolate shakeology in almond milk for a high protein snack.
I love my Shakeology. Or make a quick bowl of vegetable egg drop soup.

Supper:  Grilled chicken and/or steamed shrimp, large mixed salad, 2 tsp olive oil and fresh lemon juice, sugar free cocktail sauce for shrimp.

Because I had been doing P90X and my metabolism is still zipping along, I may have to add a couple more snacks.

To your success!
